Bit of drama down there; it seems a stunt car of some description (Telly reporter talk) lost it and went into the crowd.
Usually a few from round here go down but heard nothing directly from anyone.

Yep. However it has the effect of raising the average IQ of all the states and lowering the av IQ of the ACT as the annual migration occurs before and during the event and reversing the effect at the end of the event.

The car that crashed was a Capa Commodore Ute - Capa do superchargers in Adelaide, and that ute was either a drift or dedicated stunt/burnout machine. From the brief clip I saw, it appeared the driver had lost control of it, then had too much speed to pull it up before ploughing into a 3 foot high cyclone wire fence the crowd was leaning against. I think it is ridiculous that the organisers and the "professional" stunt crew thought a gravel surface without proper crash barriers was suitable for that sort of thing.

    "Blasting" past people
    on an "entrance road"...

Doesnt really seem like sensible speeds were adhered to.

They probably just recognised you were one of them from your actions & not your car.

Magistrate!?? Err why? He was speeding, not drink driving. Dunno about the rules in S.A. but here in NSW when you get your lisence suspended, it usually takes a month or two or sometimes longer for the suspension period to kick in. My guess is rusty is in that migical little time period where each day you check your letter box for the supspension notice. I have known it to take 3 weeks for one of my mates to get his notice and another friend had to wait 4 months between getting booked and the suspension notice finally arriving. It's really bazar and inconsistant.
