I accidentally put 2006 instead of 2005 in the question....

I'd love to see a PSA win!

Will this be the end of the factory backed Xsara ?

I wonder how it'll compare to the other cars since the development stopped.

Does they have to de-tune the engine on the Xsara to non-water cooled turbo as well ??

Do they have to do it on all the other WRC cars?

I hope and believe that this guy Marcus Grönholm will win.
I'm not sure who Marcus Gornholm is...
I wish I was going to see Rally Australia, but I have already been to one WRC round this year.
I did have a look at ticket prices and they are a fair bit more expensive than they were in Finland. A Rally pass that let you go to every stage in Finland was 45 Euros (about $73 at the exchange rate in August) where as here, a similar pass costs $100.
I guess I'll have to watch Ten's coverage but I hope John Smailes isn't doing any commentating

Given the recent performances (I realiase they were tarmac rallies), you can't go past Loeb.

It should be a great battle between Gronholm and Solberg for 2nd in the championship, both are equal P2 with 71pts. Gronholm will take it if his car is reliable. Solberg has made a few errors in the last rounds so he'll be revved up to take P2 as well.

Hopefully my favourite, Gigi Galli, will finally finish a rally after showing great speed in the last few rounds. The Mitsubishi is definitely improving.

Gardemeister will be up around the points as usual, leading the Ford charge.

Snails is the BIGGEST problem for people like mobile security, he just walks and drives where he likes (and where he shouldn't), one day he will be too slow to move and get hit by a car*, and those in rallying won't be surprised at ALL !

    * I don't WISH that on him, but if it happens no-one will say it's the drivers fault.

That would have been a difficult decision to have to make...
A couple of years ago I heard him say that the Group N cars could reach speeds of up to 270 km/h. Now I'm not 100% on the rules and regs for Group N, but I'm assuming that they wouldn't have the gearing to reach that speed let alone find a road in the ARC with a straight long enough. Aren't the WRC cars only geared to max out around 225 km/h depending on the stages...
He was commentating at the A1 GP on the weekend, and he was lucky he wasn't anywhere near me.

I dislike Smailes. He has an annoying voice, a poor commentator at best.

I have to say, that the English are by far the best commentators, whether it be motorsport, soccer or whatever else.

200 max, on the rev limiter in 5th and only managed it in Canberra and Adelaide...

I was flicking channels today and In 30 seconds of hearing Smails on the Rally - he refered to Duval as the young frenchman.... Dickhead - I went back out to the garden to do some work.
Murray : And there are flames coming from the back of Prost's car as he enters the swimming pool!
James Hunt: Well that should put them out then!

Bill Woods called the 307 the 207 a couple of times as well.
