    Default Kermit has been stolen!

Dee is currently in Northern NSW visiting her mum and she has just rung to say Kermit has been stolen. Not the actual car, but the rear number plate. I can get a replacement rear plate for $186 or both for $305, so I'm getting both.

Crikey Simon, you had me worried there, I was thinking the car had been stolen. Still a pain in the arse, whoever stole the plates could try to use it in some sort of illegal venture.

I'm sure its a prank or kids who thought it was funny. As plate thieves who use it for ram raids or pretol station runs aim for regular style plates....
But I'm sure you will report it to the police. - Chris

From Dee's description I think the backing plate is still on the car so what was taken probably wouldn't be in a good condition. So kid will probably hang it on their wall.

The important thing is you still have the car. Much easier to replace numberplates!

Very true Justin. Finding one manual Coupe was hard enough. Finding a replacement would be nearly impossible. Would probably have to get a DSG GTI.

What would you do with the 6-8 month wait though!

Although, you could always ask the other Simon if he'd be interested in getting a 'bulk' discount

Actually after reading the latest GoAuto Mag's article (http://www.mellor.net/themaglatest) I don't think I would get one. No electric memory seats, and there is no going back from having that nice bit of luxury.

About 2-3ft tall, green coloured skin, flat round face, had a guy behind him with his hand up his date too.
Think there was a small transvestite pig in the vacinity too...

That sucks. But like others have said it was only the plate.
Bet you'd like to get hold of the kid though and give hima $300+ boot up the arse. (we need this one with the slapping being done by a pairof frogs legs )....Big FROGGY SLAP from us all.
Dam, do people have no respect at all anymore, C3 thefts, number plates, makes you think that the crime rate really is rising. More power back to the constabulary I say.

Got a bit worried with the subject title.
Thank goodness it was only the rear plate and not the actual car Simon.

Whoever is responsible should be forced to listen to The Frog singing Rainbow Connection over and over again That would be enough to put them on the straight and narrow.

Why are there so many songs about rainbows and whats on the other side..Rainbows are visions but only illusions...............

Ditto what everyone else said - thank goodness it's only the plate gone & not the car. Definitely some kid has it up on their bedroom door as we speak, surely no ram-raider would go to that trouble to look cute on CCTV.
