    Icon8 Sad day for Pug's

This past weekend 9/10 October I flashed my lights at over 15 Peugeots, various models, from 206 GTis to 407's to 405's and even some 306/307s...

Not one person acknowledged my efforts.

    I won't be flashing anymore...

It seems that while Peugeot was once a Marque, now it is just another Brand.

What a shame. I guess they must have been blinded by the "blinding foggies".

I think you are probably right. I drove back from Albany to Perth yesterday - and saw 6 Pugs going the other way. I waved at every one but got nothing in response. Even the white Mi16 (like mine - which is what I was driving) didn't wave back.

Recent trip across the Nullabor, just about every car waved (no matter what the make and model), but West of Norseman no-one did . The wave is just about dead (in town anyway).

Icon7 The wave is alive and well in Tasmania...

Hi all! I think the sense of belonging to a special group went out with the rear wheel drive. All the older pugs that I wave to when driving my 404 ute seem to know what I'm doing and reciprocate.

On a similar matter, I was speaking to a friend of mine in Melbourne discussing the bad drivers that inhabit the city. I realized that there are just as many bad drivers in Tasmania, the only difference is that the Melbourne drivers are bad out of rudeness while the Tassie drivers are bad out of stupidity.

When Dad had his 403 we would wave to other 403's but not to 203's. And then when the 404 turned up the snooty drivers rarely waved at us. I think the Peugeot wave largely died out in the 1970's with the 504. I hate to admit it, but I live in such an old fashioned area everyone waves at everyone else on the country roads. But not on the highways.

Only time I get a wave from a fellow frenchy is when on the way to the Annual BBQ in Sydney, usually because of the other person on their way to the same place.

Shame really. As I see the same pugs and renults every day when I am out and about in my neighborhood.

I get waves every now and then. I dont even bother waving at anything newer than a 205. I normally get waves from other 504'ers. It really does make my day when it happens .

I also tend not to wave at anything newer than a 205. I always wave at other 505s and often get a wave back from elderly drivers or a knowing look and a smile from other P plate 505/504s.

I dont intend to offend any Pug owners, but i think its just that there is so much pugs out there now, when i drive around i see at least 10-15 pugs, can you imagine waving to every single one of them every day.

AS for me i drive an RSC, I harldy see one around and when i do they happily wave back.
Just comes down to commonity(is that a word???)
