Electric Dauphines in the States aren't really anything new. There was the Henney Kilowatt in the early 1960's, then there is the Feel Good Cars Dauphine which is a modern day re-creation of the Henney.

These cars are called Henney Kilowats. I have to check again, but I believe they were built in Ohio. They would buy brand new Dauphines sans motor & trans & put the electric units in.
I live about an hour from Harrisburg & was interested for the parts but he says in the description that both cars run, so it might be cool to own one of these. I have just a 7 mile drive to work mmm....

    Or maybe 2!

Very interesting. Does anyone have any info on specs of the elect motor when they were being put into dauphines?

Perfect candidate, I was shocked I lift the back end and pull the car to one side on my own. I knew they were light, but!
I guess the batteries under the bonnet would also help keep the front wheels to the ground when your accelerating the beasty to the speed of sound.

With the dry cell technology of today you coud probably fit three to four times the batteries in the car. imagine the range.
My question is how much it would up my monthly electric bills.

Would be nice if the electric dauphine site had the specs. Some searching has come to dead ends. That would give you enough to work out how much electricity is required to get you to work for a week.
