    Default Remote AF sticker slaps.

This would have to qualify as one of the most remote AF sticker slaps ever (with proof) !! The Nullabor Road House (i.e. the middle of no where !!)

    205GTi.

Did you go whale-watching while you were there?

This is the best season (time of the year) and I believe there are plenty of whales in the bight this year.

I was there a couple of times last year and surprised to see about 80 - 100 people at the lookout each time - and as you say - middle of nowhere!

And there are always interesting cars on the road somewhere - eg, vintage, etc.

    Cheers

    Default No Whales

We checked lookouts and no whales to be seen much to kids disapointment. We also saw a 405 and 406 going other way on Nullabor. No Renaults or Citroens tho.

    Default Dolphins

No whales, but I did have dolphins running with the boat in Esperence .. got some pretty good footage of them jumping out of the water.

I did my first "slap" yesterday on a silver 205gti parked on Mitchell St Northcote.

Sorry to rave on about the whales but it is a fantastic sight for most people and you don't get too many opportunities to do this.
Have you returned to WA yet?
Check this latest update (22 Sept):

    http://www.victor.sa.gov.au/site/page.cfm?u=452

Where they say there are 90 whales in the sanctuary of which many are visible from the new lookout. You must go down the White Well road (turn off about 20 kms East of Nullarbor Roadhouse). Its about 12 km sealed road to the Head of Bight lookout.

You don't usually see the whales from the high cliff lookouts - but they are spectacular in their own right of course.

    Regards.

I'm already back, but whales are pretty good to watch, seen them several times Albany way and recently in Townsville a few weeks ago. Although after having Dolphins running with the boat, I must say that was pretty cool too !!!
