    Default eBay Scam Alert.

Copped a message today from that pack of cons who do scams by asking for the account details from eBay.
Easy for me to pick on a couple of fronts; firstly I haven't had an eBay account for years and secondly when I did, I didn't have the e-mail account that the "notification" was sent to!!

Just thought I'd mention it in case it's another batch of this crap about to start off and as this particular account has a first letter of "A" I often get these before a lot of others do.
I'll forward it onto eBay for their attention and I would advise anyone else who gets one does the same.

Same here, and I have never had an e-bay account.

As normal, unless it arrives with a Sheriff and a warrant I am not interested.

If anyone gets one, do yourself and everyone else a favour and forward on to

    [email protected]

and they will sort it from there. That's what they get paid for.

I know of a factual case recently where a person responded to one of these and she was stupid enough to use the same username AND password that she used for her ISP and therefore normal email account.

She was rather surprised when her ISP usage went WAY overlimit on the next bill and she was getting all sorts of very weird email. I think it also ended up in her ISP account having the password changed by the offender etc. Not a pleasant experience.
