Felicitations.

We don't call it Bastille Day in French so if you translate that to French, you won't get it right.
we call "Le Quatorze Juillet, la Prise de la Bastille", the Taking of the Bastille.
    Nice Try though.

This year it was the Brazilian army invited...perhaps soon the Aussie army?

    Default Google's where is started...google it'll be.

Live the republic and sharp France! More seriously, for once the procession was saved by the rain but heat choking... that was typed hard, a truth cagnard like one says "on our premises" in our area! If not not of large surprises, but damage that the municipality of Paris refused this year that Leclerc ravel once again elsewhere than on their tank transporters.

    from Lappalise's post

Hope that helps.......my French is worse...

...cut and paste Dijon's post and see what you get?

    Sorry for this oversight!

Live the republic and sharp France! More seriously, for once the procession was saved by the rain but heat choking... that was typed hard, a truth cagnard like one says "on our premises" in our area! Ok, I will try to correct this translation.

"Hurray (or long live or cheer?) the republic and hurray (long live or cheer?) the France!
More seriously, the procession was spared by the rain but heat was stifling...the sun beated down, a truth cagnard (coming from old latin word "cauma") like one says "at home" in our region!
Otherwise not big surprises, but it's pity that the municipality of Paris refused this year that Leclerc do not parade once again nothing else on their tank transporters."

Nevertheless I would add that there was a beautifull celebrates and fireworks everywhere in France and...a nice CItroën C6:

Bastille Day: President Chirac in C6 !!!

It's true that I should not too feel sorry for me if one must compare with your continent which resembles a "oven".
However, I've a small experience of the extreme temperatures because, amongst other things, having travelled several times in Morocco and to Egypt.
But good, yesterday and today with between 30 and 35°C everywhere in France... it is not insignificant even for a real frog' coming from the South.

PS: yes I know, my english is dreadful...

PS bis: For waiting the pictures of yesterday, a nice pic of Paris going back already to several years (in winter)...

Firstly the C6 looks great can't wait to see one down here.

For translations I usually use Freetranslation.com - using this, Lapalisse's post becomes:

Lively the republic and lively France!

More seriously, for once it marched was saved by rain but the heat was stifling... that typed hard, a true cagnard as one says "at our place" in our region! Otherwise not any big surprised, but damage that the Paris municipality refused this year that the Leclerc march once again elsewhere that on their door tanks.

An average translation I guess. Dijon's post:

The heat in France, Lapalisse? To discover the true heat, it is necessary for you to come in Australia in summer.

    Je comprends maintenant!
