    Saw a yellow reggie 16 this morning on Fairbairn avenue, on the back of a scrappie truck with the hydraulic arm clamped down in the middle of its roof.

    That car probably belonged to one of our club members, it was not worth restoring and he already has a vast excess of parts.

    Hello to the red 205 GTI owner who drove past me going the other way on Sunday or Saturday. Cheers for waving. Good to know some people in the know are out there. Hope you are on the forum....

    Spotted a black 206 GTI on the Monaro Hwy heading towards the city on Friday morning. Entered the hwy at the same point near Calwell, and pretty much stayed together till the city. I was in my brother's E30 beamer so I couldn't get a wave!

    Starting to see a few more 407's around. They look good on the road, definately stand out.

    I spotted you Stu I think Friday late afternoon at around 5:30pm. I was going south on Northbourne and you were at the lights waiting to cross Northbourne near Lyneham (don't know which intersection it was). you had a female in the car and your window was down. I saw you as I was cruising through the lights and hit the horn but I don't think you were watching.

    Saw a grey 205 GTi, on Hindmarsh Dr yesterday plate - YDV... from memory. Nice condition too.

    Sorry I missed you Joel - that was me!!! Had just picked up my wife from work and was heading back to Nicholls. I had not seen her (wife that is ) for 2 weeks so I can assure you, ALL my attention was on her and also to make sure those guys did not wash the windscreen. Already had to replace a wiper arm on my Mi16 years ago thanks to them!!!

    One more week back in Sydney and then I am all yours.......well, Canberra's at least!

    Have is the wave in return mate................

    2 weeks is a long time without the love of your life so I fully understand!! I'll forgive you this time, hehe!

    I also fully understand about those windscreen guys, you have to have your wits about you. You only have to look away for a second and they are on your windscreen like a squashed bug! He cleaned mine once after I said no and he even hassled me for some cash, I refused especially after he dropped the wiper down a bit too hard - cringe!!

    Hey,

    I've seen a white Mi16 a few times on my way out to Bruce along the Parkway, Caswell Drive, Belconnen Way and Haydon Drive. Is that you Kaiser? numder plate MI 405 (or something like that). I was sitting behind you on Tuesday morning, around 9:30 (i think, the days just turn into a blur at the end of the school year! ) in my white Mi16. Must of made the people around us do a bit of a double take seeing 2 of us, one behind the other, not a common site hey!

    Also, had a Burgandy 406 hammer past me down the Hindmarsh Drive hill towards Woden, must of been doing 120+. Around 10:30 Thursday night. Although it is a bit difficult not to go a little bit fast down that hill!

    Cheers

    Alex

    Yeah, i remember that. 4 Eddies boys just out of there final exam. 180 km/h they reckon. Probably one of the most horrifying crashes i've ever seen.

    ACT is full of Frogs....

    Yesterday
    * Very well looked after maroon Clio Sport in basement carpark at Gungahlin Marketplace.

    This morning;
    * Series I 405 GR/SR on Commonwealth Ave.
    * Series II 405 Mi16 in Alambrah Red (Burgundy) on State Circle. Brought a tear to my eyes - exactly the same as my old baby!

    This evening;
    * Black N5 306 Sedan - Canberra Avenue Roundabout - Griffith
    * White " 306 XSi and Silver 307 next to each other outside Rex Hotel

    Promise I am looking out for you all! If you see a GTi180 with St Andrews Cross stickers, that's 'moi'!

    Not many frogs at Marques in Park last Sunday- only one P504, a 2CV, a Laguna, a Fuego and my R12. A Romanian fellow was delighted to see my R12, saying that he had not seen any R12/Dacia since he's been in Australia. Then later that day I saw two R12 sedans in north Canberra, shame I was driving my 306 then.
