Default How many k's has your froggie travelled?

    Hi Guys,

Last week the poor old GT rolled over to 180 000. Not long till the big 200 now. I'm interested to know how many k's the average froggie around here have travelled over the years.

What model, year and k's has your froggie travelled?!!

Mine had about 540,000kms up on it when we bought it... it was then 16 years old (1982 model)...

But I've been running them up a bit quicker than that, it's over a mill now.

Everything original including shockers, still goes perfectly but paint is dreadful.
205 Si 230000km, original except for front shockers and driveshafts.

What are you planning to do with the valve stems?

Actually, if I were you, I'd look at doing the seals, valve guides too if they're worn, but I'd re-use the valves.

Default How many K's has your froggie travelled.

My '79 504 GL has just turned over 88,000 k's.
When I bought it 5 years ago it had 42,000 k's up. This one was the "little old lady owner" that we've all heard about.
Since leaving the rat race my yearly k's are only about 10000. At that rate and providing the rust isn't too aggressive it should see me out!

    Default Australdi's 84 Fuego.

Di (Australdi's) Fuego had done over 400,000 km when it was retired due to a oil leak from the rear of the head (not unusual problem that a new head gasket will fix and it will then be bought back on the road or track as she sees fit! )

Only other major things that she had replaced were the alternator, A/C compressor and receiver/drier, and oil seals - Main oil seal when replaced failed on her solo trip to WA, but it was fixed under repairer and part supplier warranty. and also had the front shockers replaced a few years ago.

She always tells me that this car had far more usable engine power and thats the reason she would not let me strip the car for parts

Has dreams for it to become a hotshot rally car. Of course I tell her that this will have to wait until she meets some guy with a fat cheque book willing to finance her racing tastes.

Probably get killed for saying that!!

    Ken

CX 2200 with 365k, still used a few times every week by my father atm.
My last 505STi had 380,000km before I sold it, very, very reliable car. One of my Fuego's had almost 350k before I wrecked it. Not a Froggy but had a Kombi years ago with almost 500k on it!

Mine has most of the books since new so I know it from that, I have no idea how many K's my D's have done however, could be 55,000k, 155,000k or 255,000k, doubtful its over that.

101000 km. Only doing about 12000 km per year at present. Car has full service history at a good Peugeot dealer, and is immaculate. Hope I can keep it that way ! No mechanical problems, except for slight rattle in drivers window.
