Default Good tip or snake oil?

This has been posted overseas, but as we have had several posts re: autos in Cits and some of the Pug gearboxes, thought it may be of interest to some.
Personally, I've had great results with Nulon in manual boxes but autos I wouldn't like to comment.
Have a read and make your own mind up.

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

I've used LUKAS ATF stuff on advice from a mate who got a year or two extra use out of a transmission using the stuff. It does noticably reduce slurring and cluncking. It seems to me that it makes the AT fluid thicker. Probably has some stuff in it that softens seals as well.
Think it is best to fix it when it is on the way out.

Reason I'm interested is that at times, doing a rebuild on one of these things isn't an option with prices around $3500 - $5000 quoted and when they do croak, it seems that this black treacle as they describe, is what comes out, so if this stuff can remove that and keep the box going, should be a viable alternative. Also don't some of the Pug boxes run on engine oil and we often get questions regarding them too?

i have used nulon atf additive a few times over the years and it has worked well

it won't fix a dead box but if you have one that is on it's way i have found it to give it a new lease on life

i have also used the G70 in pug boxes with engine oil and it has still worked
