Icon14 Aussiefrogs Art - Are you an Aussie-Froggie-Artist?

This sticky thread has been created to allow all you budding designers an opportunity to express your Aussiefrogs and French-car love by submitting any artwork you feel captures the essence of your passion.

A few alternate banners have been created in past so we'd like to see them, but it would also be good to see any conceptual art, car-art or other French car related creations.

Once we have a nice selection we might even start a poll to see who earns the coveted title of "Aussie-Froggie-Artist" under their name.

Let your creative side out people!!!

Good to see someone "having a go". In the interests of harmony, propose that this thread be free from critism, if you want to be a critic "put your money where your mouth is" so to speak and show us what you can come up with, put up or shut up.

This will encorage others to give it a shot and maybe, just maybe something will be so good EVERYONE will be blown away.

    Reasonable request Brad ?

Since this thread is designed for the purpose of experimentation, this would be my suggestion.

Its technically a bit messy and the colours arent matched but it would atleast allow the retention of current stickers and show banner while reinforcing both the Aussie and French association with the use of the flags..

I had a crack at a new sticker a while ago when someone else raised it but never posted it. I posted it in the 'can I make a banner' thread recently but no one responded to it

There's two slightly different designs. Ignore the logos at the bottom. Obviously they'd need some finished art as well, and the Renault logo would be replaced with the real one (not a traced one).

    What d'ya reckon???

I like the top one. I would probably swap the .com with the pug lion to make the address easier to read, It also sort of looks the odd man out.

Text could be made more prominant if it had black outline, especially in the blue area.

Yeah the top one is much better. I guess lining up the words would also make it easier to read. Cheers for the feedback Decca.

That's quite a good one there nbj.
How would it go as a sticker looking at it from a distance?
With the current one, I can make out the red/white/blue from about 10 metres.

Just make it a decent 15cm to 20cm tall and 30m to 40cm wide... should get seen then!

My g/f was good enough to bring me a little French flag from Melbourne when she was there last week. It is the perfect size (hieght) to take off its little wood post and fit to my radio ariel for the French Car Day in Brisbane next month!

    fck bj, that looks mad.

wonder what itd look like with a bit of green 'cept for the french flag strip. how bout rendering the "car" into a well known french model like a ds or a 205gti?

    hey man, good branding.

yeah it's easy to make the red, white and blue stripes thicker or more prominent.

Thats just a rough quickie I did at work this arvo when I needed a distraction.

I got the file @ work, I can muck about with it a bit more tomorrow.

would work fine as a sticker. It's all done in illsutrator, the whole thing (including the logos) is vector, so it's scalable.

oh and yeah I may render the car into a stylised french model as suggested tis a very generic car for now. But maybe a more stylised side on shape (like porsche do with their 911 insignias) would be good.

Maybe a side on DS or a Pug of some sort. GAWD that could cause a debate on which car is the best to show.
Maybe no car just a stylised frog instead

    OK,

    so I tried something new.

I wanted to find a nice profile ohoto of a car (I CAN'T DRAW) but I can trace well

    so I found a 206.

lets fight now over which car I trace But here's just an example.

It is stylised, but clearly a pug
