    Howdy Clio 182,

My family's from Scotland (Aberdeen). My parents live in Safety Bay; I lived with them down there a good while back. Members on here from Perth include:

John W: Pug 306, Citroen CX, Renault R8, Renault 16TS, Citroen BX, Renault 750

    XTC: 206GTi

Zykyra: Citroen BX16V, Renault Megane (new), Various Cits.

    Myself: as below.

Graelin: blimey, can't remember the cars - sorry Grae!

Quite a few others too. We'll have to have a Perth get together at the next Perth French Car Day, I reckon!

    Welcome...

    Hey Clio 182!,
Welcome aboard! I spend a lot of time down in Rockingham & Mandurah for work so I will be sure to say G'day if I bump into you down there! Not as many froggies down that way as there is in Pth metro so shouldnt be too hard to spot you! Great cars the little 182's, trying to convince my GF to get one as she thinks the 206's are too girly! Would look great next to a 225!

There is a few of us ... There is a Peugeot Club, Citreon Club and NO Renault Club ,although SIVA (special interest vehicle association) took a few remaining Ren owner when the Ren club folded.

Also the usual French car day in Oct, and a couple of generic things coming up in March. Sunday 20th - Whiteman Park Classic Car Show and 25-28th "Cit-In" Point Walter.

Welcome to Oz, Clio 182. Perth is a fantastic city, spent a few months there and loved it. Did you import your clio over from Scotland or did you buy it here?

Linc, don't worry, it just looks like I'm web-stalking you....

    Icon12 cheers guys

cheers guys,it's nice to get such a welcome!
my experience of oz has been fantastic,so far, only arrived ten days ago.
the only negative thing are the traffic cops, got stung for 200 dollar fine on saturday, doing 105 in 80 limit-didn't see reducing sign on freeway from 100 to 80k.tried my best to explain, but doesn't go down well, told if i carried on talking they'd find something else to ticket me with! lol.
australdi-when we left scotland it was -4c,and the last time i had seen sunshine was september-ish,so i'm well impressed with the weather, but found last weeks 36 ish pretty warm-it's an excuse to go out in car with aircon on.
jastanis-bought the car via web/dealer in south perth area,v good deal as in showroom-had chance of gordini cup version, but wasn't too keen on stripes painted on roof.

If i see any other frogs on road i'll give you a flash(of my lights).
Look forward to meeting you guys at nxt meet.

Hey mate, the lucky thing about landing in WA is that it is perfectly legal here to own a radar detector! In all other 'states' it is illegal. PM me if you are after one & I will do one for cost for you! Its always great to give cops shit here but I have learnt to do it after they have written the ticket. You should be right in a new car but if you hassle them in an older car they will always find a reason to 'yellow sticker' you. Bastards! Love dropping the suspension on the D when I go through a booze bus! More than once I have heard "something wrong with your suspension mate"!!!

PS. Good to see you chose the "right" side of Australia to land!
