Went to Hawthorn Brake & Clutch (melbourne) today to buy a clutch kit for my daughters 3cyl Suzuki (reves like a sewingmachine while keeping resonably well to the speed limit)
I noticed they are selling DowCorning Silicon brake fluid at $75/l.
I used the stuff on a Nissan Prairie for 10 years (no changing etc.). Curiosity got the better of me and i checked. The bores were like new.
However, some rubbers swell (usually older cars), so it is a good idea to soak them prior to make sure they are suitable.
I'm using BelRay in the 19s' - no problem but it is a bit more expensive. But in the long run it turns out cheaper because it does not require the frquent changing of the antiquated glycol stuff.
