Default Finally found a good RCS

Picked up my new toy tonight, and havent stopped smiling since.

    2002 Monaco Blue RSC.

Took me a while to find one I was happy with and at the right price.

    Initial thoughts:

    Bloody quick!
Point and squirt ability is just amazing, a race car for the road.
Finding the suspension a little stiff though compared to the 405 Mi16
For the life of me I cant work out the stalk control for the radio

Summary, I have finally found a replacement for the 205 that I enjoyed driving to work everyday. My smile is back.

Question for RSC owners, do you know how much the extended warranty costs? The car has only travelled 20k so I want to extend it.

A big thank you to Nate, Brad and JR for all their help finding the RSC.

Thats about right, thou i think i've seen up to $1,200...

My dealer did a free one as long as i serviced it with them, so maybe have a chat & strike up a deal?

Welcome to the fold mate, i'm sure it'll give you a lot of happy memories!

Dont worry about the stalk, it'll take about 3 weeks to sink in

The RCS is the first car that I've owned that brings a bigger smile to my face than my two 205's - a tough ask. Welcome aboard!

Parry how could you say that about our beloved Pug

It has served its dues & now you are dissing it for your new found lover who is some 20years younger

Although I must say after owning a 205, the RCS would probably be my next upgrade in the Hot Hatch arena

But back to the point: Stop talking Jive about our 205s! *joke*

Was this the Blue one on Carsales, located in Brisbane with only 19 000km on the clock ??

If so, well done, it looked like a good buy.

    Was tempted myself.

    Hey Parry,
Yep, love to come around and do a little mutual car admiration!
The 205 is running really well. It's one of those rare affairs where the love continues to grow. Ah, if only they could all be like that!
I've treated her recently to a new clutch, engine mounts, rear oil seal and CV boots.
However all spending has been purely voluntary, she's shown no sign of any temperament!
Can't wait to see the RSC and perhaps you could take me for a little spin

All the best for Christmas and the New Year.

    Hi Parry
For future ref, what were you finding wrong with the other RSCs you looked at? Any common problems to beware of?
    Cheers, Jon
