    Default bloody detailers

Went to the car wash armed with a can of degreaser to clean all the greasy shiny muck the detailers has sprayed on everything rubber/plastic in the engineof my 406, and all I got for my trouble was sticky white muck on everything - the degreaser reacted with it somehow and certainly didnt take it off, nor does strong detergent. Dont want play with solvents yet.

I'd be giving alcohol a go, its a pretty mild solvent on the internals i'd think...

I'll pray for you that its not requiring Turps!

Rattling my old brain back to the car yard days, I think you'll find it's a commercial version of "Armourall" believe it or not.
In commercial form it used to be marketed as "Colourmat" and was originally used when things like Holdens & F**ds had rubber floor matting in them. Somebody then tried it out in the boot & found it gave it that 'new again' look after which they started under the bonnet, so I'd suggest if you can find out what shifts Armourall, or any of those silicone coatings, you'll have found what you need to shift it; "Silicone-off" perhaps?

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!
