    Default French Car chase film..TAXI

Has anyone seen these films, There appears to be 3 of them. They seem to feature a Peugeot of some kind as a Taxi. The films are apparently a take on all the action films around but have loads of car chases (probably mostly frogs!) heaps of gun battles and bad jokes...sounds great! Anyway, if anyone knows where you could rent them that would be great.

I bought taxi and taxi 2 from Amazon UK. Taxi 3 came from DVDSoon (Canada).

Great movies for true car buffs. English re-make out on 4 November.

I shudder to think how that will turn out.

well for starters, NYC yellow cab. Queen Latifah as driver! But the baddies are certainly hot, all chics! Wohoo! But they have copied very closely Taxi 1 and 2.

Yup, the 406 has been replaced with a bling Ford Crown Victoria, and the bad guys are all driving chrome wheeled BMWs.

Whilst I am sure the yanks will manage to screw Taxi up, it should be noted that the movie is being produced by Luc Besson, the man who wrote, produced and directed the original Taxi.

Some of Luc Bessons hollywood movies have been pretty good, with my favorite being "The 5th Element"...

Here hoping that Taxi 'hollywood style' isn't too shudder producing...

Got my copy of Taxi (1) from sendit.com (formerly blackstar.co.uk) in the UK for $16.00 including post. Be advised it is in French with subtitles, not that that should be a problem for anyone on this forum

Very cool film. Now I need to get Taxi (2)...

    Daniel,

That's not the cleverest suggestion I've seen from you. Ever heard of copyright?
As for a library service, I wouldn't trust people to return it.
