    Default Another milestone...

It seems such a long time since we passed 2000 members... maybe two years?

    But look at this:

    "Threads: 16,695, Posts: 146,592, Members: 3,000, Total hits: 1,399,083
Welcome to our newest member, duggie"

Just happened to notice this, congratulations all on this point being reached!

Along the same lines how many people havn't logged in since the board change .. ie last visit 1970 or something, if i was a betting man it's gotta be almost 2000 members ??? So how can we say we have 3000 members .. we've had 3000 registrations, that's fair to say. As for active members ?

OK a quick count revealed .... 800 members have never logged on since the board changed. 200 members havn't logged in since Dec 2003 and the rest have either joined since Jan 2004 or have posted since then. Didn't bother to do the less then 5 posts. Ignoring Grease Monkey's posts. You'll find the top 100 people make up 103,845 of the 146,962 posts (70.6%)

As of a few minutes ago, there were 80 viewing the forum...

That included 32 registered members, 48 'guests'. Now that last word, 'guests', that word seems the wrong word to me... did gibgib invite them? Did they come with another member?

Of course not... they are just onlookers, not guests at all!

Anyway, that's a side issue... probably a lot of them are members who are using another computer without their cookies stored in it, or who only log in to post. So in all probability there would be 50 or more members logged in, reducing the 'guest list' to just 30 or so.

As I see it, that's not a bad representation from 3000 members at any given time. And the record number was 140+ one night at 9pm or 9:30 or something. So they're logging in, these members, just not all at once...

    hmmm... Guests eh?
    We can change it.
It's what the forum software calls them.
"Readers" is more appropriate, or something more frog-like?
