    Default Athermic Windscreens

I was driving through town recently with the right sun angle and polarised sunglasses on, and all of the cars with the athermic windscreens stood out like dogs ****. It seems that all of the newer and some beemers have them but that is about it. Why are these screens such a french thing and why aren't they on more breeds? And do you think that they really help to keep out the heat that much?

sooo easy to spot another frenchie!

ummm i think they cut heat by 40-70% my tinting guy said... quite effective without cutting out the light!

probably too expensive on the other prestige marks (badge whores) & people probably wouldnt wanna pay the extra $000 the badges are charging!

In WA at least you can feel the diff, the dash doesn't heat up quite as much, don't know if they effect radar detectors or not (which are legal here) the same way they effect E-Tags.

I'm pretty sure I've seen the purple-blue in the C3 screen. You can soon tell on yours out in the sun with some polarised glasses on.
