    Default new aussiefrogs logo???

Ok i'll probs get banned for life but here it goes .

Does anyone else think we need a more 'contemporary' looking AF banner, i mean the current one is nice but a bit 'gay' looking, old school & a bit boring (ducks for cover ).

I know some people on the forum sleep with the AF banner stuck on their head or have it printed on their pillow case, but in my opinion i think a bit of a change would be nice . What do you guys think ???

    Hope i havent offended anyone

I guess the current logo does look a bit stale

But I have this sinking feeling that by "contemporary" you mean yet another one of those overly styled cliche "futuristic" web forum logo designs.. i.e. nothing more than a characterless abomination made by someone who's been a little too trigger-happy with the 'Filter' menu of Photoshop.

There's no harm in showing us what you can do!

The current one is making itself known very well on stickers, banners & in magazines. There would be a transition period in changing.
Need new stickers & banners, these all cost $

Could we have a mascot over the current logo for web based logo use only?
    We could use Grease Monkey

Special appearence at events of aussiefrogs, famous Grease Monkey.

    Says the person with this:
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ppysliders.gif

    as his sig logo.

Sounds like he speaks from experience!

I think the AF logo should stay as is. The cost and confusion of changing it would be too great.

Go here to listen to a real >>>>Moaning Frog...moaannning!! <<<<

I don't have a problem with our logo, as has been mentioned time and dollars are required to make changes (on a whim), web changes are fairly straight forward but our banners/ stickers/ shirts etc. all require new film to take them to print. We are just getting to a point where our logo is recognised by car clubs, service agents sales centres ect., giving us some clout when it comes settling minor disputes (or even preventing them in the first place) why undo these gains just because the logo is perhaps a little staid.

Maybe we could look at this at our next milestone our 5th. birthday perhaps.

    My $1500 - $2000

Perhaps purr-geot works for govt department - you know - "we have had this logo for more than three seconds. It looks old and tired, time to change. Besides, the Minister's shares in a major stationery supply company are down and need a boost"

the current one does looks abit boring... but as others mentioned, money in changing a new logo with banners and stickers is probably abit of a let down.

Well all those who think it's needs a change how about "producing something" ... nothing like putting your cards on the table, anyone can b!tch they don't like something but if you're not willing to provide an alternative (and take the flack that it might come with it) then don't complain !!

I happen to think the current one is OK ... having said that I might have a go at something else, but it should be in pure vector format, not some chromed Photoshoped jobie - they are too hard to make good logos and stickers out of.

I had an idea ages ago, just for a flag to hang off my beesdick antenna...

Basically just the Australian flag without the Union Jack, but with three frogs blue, white and red in the upper left hand corner... representing peugeot, renault and citroen.

BUT HEY, thats my idea, don't steal it

i am getting only 5 hp out of the current sticker too... i think the hologram stickers are good for a minimum 12hp gain, some have even claimed 15hp. so i think thats the direction we should be going

Firstly, I don't mind the current logo, but I do think it looks a little dated, and it would probably look better if it covered the entire top of the page...or if it was atleast centered..

If a change is made, how about something pretty simple.

This is my take on the whole thing, bear in mind that it is a bit of a quickie...
