Well, I don't know about my Citroens but my sister is about the same age as you and drives a 1978 Peugeot 504 - she is always having old men come up and talk to her about the car so I guess that's the opposite situation!

Can't say I've ever had that problem

Girls generally couldn't give a sh!t what sort of car you own ... Infact a lot will most like be impressed if you don't own a crummydore/fowlcan If you say you drive a citroen the usual response is "Oh (blank look), that's nice ".

But hey I've only been driving them since I was 16years old, so I guess I wouldn't know

    my missus hates them

she thinks they look like they have been sat on the rear end and the front ends look funny as well she reckons

and then not to mention the idea of having covers over the rear wheels

she likes the single spoke wheels in them though

she also hates anything with round headlights

this is what i have to contend with everytime i mention a CX

she may "just" put up with a series 2 CX but god help me if i decided to get a DS

because of what the older cits are like she won't even look at the new models running around

I dunno about Cits, but my Pug got the girls at work here talking. They absolutely loved it. They're all like "If only I could afford a Peugeot, they're so cute." (Not a words I would use, but anyway...) and here's me thinking that I have done something wrong in getting it 'cos I'm on the same money!

The ladies don't seem to mind the old monster. My driving style, driving a truck like a sports car does unerve a few.

The chairs always get a notable mention, nothing more comfortable on a long ride.

Others don't like it because it doesn't have aircon, probably the biggest problem with it.

The very lame TYPE R sticker on the back probably does not help matters.

Quite a few girls I know will go ga-ga over the Citroen C3 (hatch).
When I parked the Pluriel in the office yesterday, the girls under 30 (which meant all of them except for 2) promply made their way into the carpark to oooh and ahhh over it. No exaggeration!

You know Asaka, I met a 21yo Sri Lankan girl from Melbourne last week who loved Peugeots, I almost told her to look you up on Aussiefrogs!

Tell them that Citroens are built for handling and comfort, not speed and a few quick thumps

You could also tell them that the brand of car you drive is the World Rally Champ for 2003 and looks like 2004. Don't think there's many falcodores that could claim that.

Hate to wreck your confidence, but have you tried looking in the mirror? They may have just been using the Citroen as an excuse.

    Chance.

    Mate it's not the car!
They couldn't care less what sort of car. Probably never heard of a Sit-Ron
But they DO care less of you if you think that the car you drive means something.

I find the 205 does pretty well! Until they ride in it, and they start bitching about the zero suspension travel, and how noisy it is. But looks wise, I think we peugeot hatch drivers just look like we're metros driving girls cars.

Gotta be better than daz in his dunnydoore.

    Default chick magnet

out of all my cars...alfa spider,DS,GS,and cars I have owned including the Ferrari none attracted the chicks like my 2CV except perhaps my old Bambino (Fiat 500)and that attracted the boys as well
Wish I had a dollar for every wave I got driving the 2CV....

i think you are all missing the main problem here.

have any of you actually looked at kimbo's location?

now, admittedly i haven't spent as much time in tamworth as many others here may have, but in my experiences, the chicks in places like tamworth and other similar towns (dungog, gresford, casilas, merriwa, coolah, dubbo, broken hill, cesnock, etc), only know of two or three marques, and to make life harder will only respect one. you all know what i'm talking about.

so my solution is to either leave the car out of the conversation, or to go for chicks with a little taste. the perfect example is in cesnock, you should only go for the chicks that are on holidays and on their way to the vineyards. easily spotted by the lack of the second head or the lack of a scar from teh removal of said head.
