    Default I Spy (WA)...................

Well I may as well kick off the WA spy thread. Perhaps we can use this as a thread for West Aussies who have seen other Froggies in the flesh, the local media or just to let anyone know whats going on at local dealers, promotions & clubs etc?? Anyway, I saw a really nice dk green CX that I havent seen before yesterday & there is a SA registered Xantia that I often see as well, anyone here????

    Default Silver 206

Was driving onto Murdoch Drive this afternoon and as I waited a silver 206 three door went passed as we both then entered Leach Highway the young attractive driver made a point of waving smiling at My silver Gti. She obviously new her cars unlike a lot of others who never seem to register when seeing another Peugeot. Yes I admit it for a few seconds I felt real good and twenty years younger.

    Default I spy WA

Be careful all you "flier flappers". To place leaflets etc under wipers in WA is classed as littering. There are fines for this.
Hand them to the owners by all means.

Technically true, but if they don't catch you .. who are they going to send the fine too, Aussiefrogs.com ????

I think this rule is there to stop you hitting every car (like in a car park) ... 1 Frog car isn't an issue, esp if you write something on it like "Hi", can't imaging anyone saying it's illegal to leave a note on a friends car (except if it's with spray paint) - cause we all know every frog car is a friend

    Default Bill Posting

Be careful and read the litter Act the fine for the promoter of any function etc advertised is a maximum of $10,000 in WA.
It may be unlikely to happen to you but the Act was designed to stop litter from under windscreens being dumped on streets and mainly for these "DEGENERATE" bands who used to post everywhere.

    Litter Act 1979 S5. "bill" means any poster, placard, handbill, sticker, or other material or object manufactured, printed, drawn, or produced for the purposes of advertising or promoting any thing, cause, function, event or occaision of any kind;

"post", in relation to a bill, means affix the bill by any means to an object,

Also see S. 24A (1) (2) (3) Bill posting penalty $1,000. (this may have been increased in recent amendments)

S24B (1) (2). Councilling or procuring bill posting PENALTY $10,000 applies to natural persons and body corporate.

All it needs is a complaint to be made even if you are not seen for investigation to be commenced. Remember it can come back on the promoter (this has worried major hotels and promotions companies who radically changed their ways after prosecutions mainly by the City of Perth).
How do I know. I wrote their training manuals and have lectured in this for 15 years!

Also I spent 18 yrs administering the Act and I am still registered to report any breaches!!!!!!! Yes never know who is watching this site!!

Not questioning the law ... just it's EXTREMELY unlikely to prosecute 1 person for 1 piece of paper, so people shouldn't get all parinoid over it. Now go and flyer-flap a whole carpark of cars (which unless it's French Car Day they aint going to be all French cars) that's a different story.

What I want to know is, HOW they'd sue Aussiefrogs ? (if they didn't catch the individual?).

    Oh .. I was flyer flapped by the guy's organising Cit-in WA .. I wanna sue !!!

We start with the telephone book if that doesnt work then the bamboo under the fingernails

Yes the law was intended for bigger fish, however I bet there are some over zealous inspectors who would issue a notice. Most would not be bothered tho.

I have a way of getting out of it in court as long as the officer is not one I have trained (they are aware of the trick)

To prosecute the promoter would involve a lot of interviewing and it would have to be worth the effort ie major problem.

I did have one goofball in my class who wanted to use the Littter Act to prosecute a ten yo for putting up a notice re her lost kitten.

Local Govt did employ him as a Ranger!!! Makes me wonder what they are thinking when I get really good people and they dont get in and this one did.

Perhaps a demo has appeared at one of the dealers. I did see a black new styled C5 with euro style NSW plates sitting at Allpikes. In fact it was sitting way up the side street, I almost didn't see it.

Just an addendum. When I saw that C5 in the distance, I saw the new front end and instantly thought, "A C4! Excellent!" I was disappointed when I realised it was only a C5.

Saw a new electric blue 182 RCS today on Canning Hwy driven by a youngish girl. It really stood out amongst the traffic & looked great. Almost in the same spot on Sunday on the way to Cit-in saw a new black Megane Turbo, 1st I have seen on road, had great on road presence as well, funny but the driver had a big grin on his face! Seen a black 407 getting around with the numberplate "Because"! Love it......

Oh..& Guy, I think I may have seen those Citroens you mentioned as well.......funny??
