Default So who's missing Alan S

Yep poor ol' Alan has some serious computer problems - so much so he has been sending me text messages... he's having chronic withdrawal symptoms.

    So are we missing him....

    Cheers
    Chris

Aww I used to love knowing a protracted, pointless argument was only a post away!

Seriously, hope his computer gets well...

Would you like me to get Dad to go over to his place and do some circle work in his Land Rover Discovery on Alan's front yard? That should get him back in a mood to be back on AF.

You'd think with three tech heads in the house ONE of them would be able to fix his PC

If only He owned a Pug......................................

The computer gremlins like pug owners and stay away from our computers.

Yes mate, all I need to do now is finalise the cyclone damage from earlier this year (ie) repaint the replastered study and finish the refurbishing of the garage, do the rear arm bearings on the BX, do the cambelts on the 2 cars and finish spraying the weeds and redig the spoondrain across the block and all should be back to normal.
BTW, I'm really interested in these "Mac" comfusers. (Sorry should that be Computers??) It's just that mine blew 8 capacitors on the motherboard and apparently Macs musn't have them, 'coz they never break down. Is that why they call them "Big Macs??"

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

Too right. There an enormous amount of tech resource here and a fair chunk of it comes from Alan.

Since owning the BX I've been introduced to a range of new challenges and issues. More often than not a search on this forum will yield detailed tech assistance written by Al a few years back. A huge help when owning these sorts of things.

I really don't think I would have bought the BX without the backup of Aussiefrogs, it makes owning it a lot less frightening (well, until I get the next bill anyway)

He's still around Brendan, very limited computer access, responds to emails if you need any help. How's your 16v going, did you go for the PeterT cam, very interested to hear your impressions if you did.

    Cheers

    Aah goodo.

Yeah the PeterT cam is going in shortly, I decided to refresh the motor a little bit while it was in bits. Had a bit of trouble sourcing rings but that should be sorted. It should be back on the road shortly.

I'll let you know when its all done. Keen as buggery to get it back.

Then I can get onto electrical and hydraulic gremlins
