    Lots of various incentives on at the moment for buyers of French cars.

    * C3 Exclusives have a free sunroof, save $1500.
    * Xsaras start from $19,990
    * Some C5s on driveaway pricing with free leather.

    * Clio Expression on driveaway $19,990 pricing.
    * Clio Privleges now $21,990, saving up to $2500
    * Clio Sport (yeah, I know it's a Renaultsport Clio) has some F1 pack.
    * Megane II has 5000km free fuel
    * Megane Cabrio has $6000 discount.
    * $3000 off Scenics.
    * "Factory Bonuses" on Laguna - yeah, probably $15,000 rebates
    * Trafic - $2300 discount on A/C, now $500 (wonder how much that really costs Renault).

    * Still a few 2003 206s hanging around with various factory bonuses.
    * 307 has free leather (excluding XSI, XS Touring HDi)
    * 406 HDi is now $39,990 driveaway with 10,000km free diesel.
    * 607 is back to the free Calloway golf clubs promotion (with 11 cars sold this year, I think they'll need to get something better than that)

    So, it's not a bad time to buy a car. Looks like Renault really wants to move cars, everything but Megane Sedans.

    Gee with what Renault have been dropping on each car in advertising - and now these factory bonus deals. Soon they will be paying you to take the cars away!
    Murray : And there are flames coming from the back of Prost's car as he enters the swimming pool!
    James Hunt: Well that should put them out then!

    To be honest, Renault isn't doing that disastrously, it's not so great now.

    The problem is the amount of money they spent relaunching the brand, because they spent so much, they need to start selling reasonable volumes.

    Secondly, they set very high targets, and they're really missing those initial targets.
