    Icon1 "An evening in Paris"....

I saw a movie last night which was a bollywood hit called "an evening in paris". (english subtitles)
Set in the 1960's it was so cool set in paris in that era and saw some very strange buses and tonnes of french cars:
    citroen ID
    citroen ami
    Renault 16
    Renault 8
    Renault 10
plus lots more. If people can have a look at the film its really cute. Very tacky film though in places.....
    highly recommended...

I haven't seen that particular bollywood flick but have seen a few others. Pretty much all the ones I've seen are tacky in places. It's like Bollywood has never grown out of the 'musicals' era. I'm glad they still do it though.

I dunno about "An evening in Paris", but the ones I've seen, in a 3hr movie, there's about an hour and a half of dancing!

My indian friend advised me that if bollywood movies dont have love in them and dancing then they dont do well in india.
Pretty funny. Most of them are very tacky though....

yup so true. The usual story is about a boy from a lower class background falling in love with a upper class girl, whos arranged to be married with some other guy, & in the end the poor boy marries the rich girl & everyone dances

Its funny too as all the old indian movies are still great hits and the old actors really stick the industry out.
The movies are so funny though.

If you want to perve on French cars in a movie... this one is a Must See...

So a discussion about French cars is now not suitable to the Froggy Chat forum. Gee, you leave the country for a few weeks and the rules REALLY change!
