Icon7 Creative help needed for our advert

Our flyer is a bit too wordy & not car pictorially orientated enough for the Tri-Club magazine (QLD).
We will need a revamped Flyer for this event.

I thank XTC206 for supplying a high quality b/w version this week of the current flyer.

    Can anyone draw?

So basically, more pictures, less words, by the end of the weekend.

I'll have a go myself too of course

    By Monday....

Drawings may not be the right idea anyway but it's a black & white publication & we will know if one of us creates the images, there's no plagiarism to think about, will be unique & can use again for something else.

We don't have much choice thus far.

I'll try & get an extension so our graphical members have a chance to see this request when they get into work tomorrow.

Monday night/ Tuesday morning at the latest.

Also, failing that, what do you like/ not like with the one I did?

...its not bad.....i think there is 2 many smileys (second half)....otherwise its clean enough.....HAVE u done a black and white copy/scan to test/preview results.....will the pics be clear enough.....what size will it be 1:1 as per your sample.....if smaller there could be definition/contrast issues.....

    cheers

    dino

ok...i ve just done a print page of sample.....(good quality printer i use for autocad)....result is not bad in black/white.....i still think the smileys should go....the fourth pic to the right (i m asuming AF stand) is a little bit BUSY and I think a better defined photo or something simpler/cleaner would look better.....also.....although the BLACK ds looks good....have u got other ds pics...again something with more definition.....maybe like a closeup of the front of a ds.....????...not being critical...its quite good but sometimes fine-tuning makes all the difference especiallly when u r going from colour to black and white print...ie "sharing the knowledge" in red section of the logo may not turn out 2 clear since even light red normally prints a very good black....since "sharing the knowledge" is in dark print...u might end up not being able to read the print on top half of logo.....i suppose a lot will depend on the quality of the print....

    hope this helps....

I'll send you up a copy of the Renaultvous video when its done, maybe you can do a few Screen captures of RS's lifting wheels mid corner?

    I think that looks fine.

I think maybe the smileys make it a little bit too busy and a bit confusing, maybe lose most of the smileys other then that it looks good!

I like the copy too. maybe when it says, specific [puglogo][citlogo][renlogo] forums...maybe make these logos larger, the vector format of these can be taken from the original PDF that Deka has (I have opened it up in illustrator before and extracted them). Is there a hi-res version of this flyer?

    Default Cheers!

Hello & thanks for the feed back.

I am not good with graphic programs, I used Fireworks to create that as an image file. The high res one is a .png file around 700k.

So I could get rid of the smilies & change a few of the images.

Can anyone suggest a few different images, preferrably from the members gallery (old or new) that we could use?
Keep in mind: Cit Pug Reno

XTC206 has submitted a really nice flyer that might be better anyway:
    http://www.aussiefrogs.com/files/AussieFrogs-New.pdf

    Very clean!

i must say the banner XTC206 submited looks nice, nice and simple and not cluterd, the only thing i can see but its not really wrong with it, is that its all words and not a lot of pictures, also and i agree with a previous post red usually prints out as black in black and white, even with the best printer. gibgib if your lookinbg for pugs that are a bit diffrent to put on a banner my 4 door 205 is in the members gallery, i'm not trying to make myself look good, i just thought it might be a bit difrent

i just had another idea if youu could do a two page spread, you could have a page thats wordy and then have a page of cars from the members gallery, or you could do a half page of the wordy stuff and a half page of members cars that way you could have the wordy stuff and the pictures

Balance still isn't there, the red can be altered obviously for B&W printing ... I'm not a fan of "rastered images - pictures" in brochures, as you can see .. but I can place some ...

Attached is a much smaller one to download for comment .. the above PDF is 700+kb ... can't get it smaller cause of the Eiffel tower vectors (yep x2 cause if the shadow).

    This .gif is about 100kb.

purrr-geot, I was about to ask XTC206 for a final .pdf of his work.

Can we add something to his?
He has done a better less cluttered job, which would print better black & white.

XTC206 can you fix "enthusiasts" & I'm having second thoughts on, "over 4 years old & still going strong", like, of course we bloody are!

What about "Over 4 years old, strong loyal following" or something like that?

nice one, I like XTC206's banner

those red white and blue lines at the top were off the plain banner I made a month ago...? hehehe

Also since XTC206's PDF is a hi res file, it will look better when prited out.

Yes I "liberated them" ... Finding a suitable tower was the hardest part - scatched high and low for that one ... it's not the angle/view I was looking for, but it's OK.

Established since the turn of the century. (or May 2000 - close enough)
