It seems an interest in french cars has to be at a full size level, or it's stuffed into the toad pond.
If that's the case that's your choice, The WONDERLAND post of yesterday, if you bothered to look, is chock full of Cit's, Pug's & Renaults. And this was the reason for posting it in Froggy (French) chat.

As a result of your decision i have decided to quit AF permanently, Kindly remove all my details from this board, members gallery and the AF home page.
Also the details of my alter ego freakinfrog.
    Good bye

    hey Guys,

Damien you must reconsider your position here at af! Where are we going to get humour from??? ! I also must state moderators are good but sometimes you guys go over the top. For us long time members we know were to put things so trust our judgement?

    My 2 cents Nick

Glad to hear that you're back Damien I don't get any trout slaps? I'm surprised! I couldn't handle my days at work without your jokes

Once again, I am very sorry for a silly but honest mistake. Please tell me if I do something you're not happy with - all of those who know me know I'm very happy to take on board your thoughts and ideas. I do like to post all this kind of stuff in public too, to keep everything open.

I'm going to have a whinge too.

My 'Learning to love Volvos' post contains very pertinent information for Peugeot & Citroen owners looking for second hand EFI parts. Even 306 owners may find it useful, as 306's also share EFI parts with some Volvos.

I agree anything about Volvos is potentially sludge, but learning what parts in Volvos can be useful to FRENCH car owners is. in my opinion, worthy french car chat.

    I agree Simon.

Daniel, you reckon you've got no sense of humour??? Mate you've got tons of it; anybody who could cop the big giggle you did in a manner such as that deserves recognition... Go on Daniel, print it out!!

The above one would seem better placed in the Technical and Performance category to start with. I didn't read it because it had Volvo in the title.

It probably wouldn't matter where some topics are placed though, because after they get thrown in the pond, inevitably, some time in the future someone will ask exactly the same question without using the search facility.

Being a Moderator seems to be a very difficult task, probably akin to a policeman, you just can't please everyone. I'm glad I don't have to make those decisions....

Thanks for that mate! What a laugh.

The Volvo one.. well.. the way things Volvo related tend to go down on this forum, the Toad Pond is probably where it should be. If you all think it should be in Technical and Performance, let Brad, Greenblood or gibgib know and someone will move it for you if they agree with your suggestion (I won't be around the rest of this afternoon).

It's hard to keep the happy medium at times moderating. All the moderators & administrators are of course volunteers & only want what's best for us all

    Glad all is well

    Daniel is our biggest celebrity!
Is it only Sydney's French Car day that will be graced by his presence or can he jump in a plane & do Brisbane as well?

    I can see it now...

Bastille celebrations & Grand Display of the French car marques & your chance to meet the famous danielsydney, whom will be there signing autographs & photocopies of his replies in the for sale section

Derek was expecting a slapping with wet trout. Nope not my style, besides if i was that way inclined a WET TOAD would have been more appropriate.
Moderators: I think it's time to close this thread it's gone far enough.

I think the Toad pond is great. This forum is full of very friendly and helpuff people who are not *JUST* French car enthusiasts. Take my "iPod" thread for example, I knew that I would get good advice in this forum, I wouldn't want to post technical questions about an apple ipod in the car section, that would just piss some ppl off. I say keep the pond! It is just as big an asset as the main sections of this forum.

    hi bj,

point taken - theres value in that forum.

nonetheless, when you have a look at the topics discussed in both froggy chat and the toad pond , jeez i'd swear parrallels could be drawn - hard!

my argument is why not just rename froggy chat and talk all you wont about ipods, nz's trading post equivalent, etc, etc.

anyways, just had a shitty day at work.

p.s. why not have a forum where we can slagg each other off? thats an idea, ey?! frign moderators! mwuahahaha!
