    Default C5 dipstick

Can any of the champions out there give me a measurement from the top of a rhh 2.0 dipstick the bit that sits on the top of the tube and the full mark Ive ordered a few cheap solid metal dipsticks that will seal in the top of the tube Iím sick of replacing them with crap on customers cars

That's to the top of the checked section in the plastic tip.

My assumption has been the the level should be inside the flat part marked with a criss-cross pattern. The measurement is to the top of that section, ie maximum.

615mm shoulder to tip, so add 47mm to seasink's measurement to the top of the checked section. Diameter of the plastic handle where it sits inside the tube is just under 14mm and a new o-ring is 15mm OD. I'd looked, but not found a sufficiently long and cheap metal donor.

I wish they'd revert to flat steel strips. The EP6DT has a steel coil spring - it doesn't break off, but is devilishly hard to read. I have to press it against a bit of dunny paper to see where the oil is sitting.

I've noticed there are quite a few aftermarket ones which revert to the steel strips (Metzger Germany, Birth Italy and a few asian copies). I bought an OE one but if the end breaks off mine again I might try one.

No only ep6 motors with the all metal dipstick you canít remove the dipstick and sometimes causes a vacuum leak
