    Default Peter Brock Pug 05 - 1992

    Hi guys,
Having a tidy up and found this poster.
Who remembers Brocky driving a Pug at Bathurst 12 hour race with his famous 05 number ? I often mention this to Holden fans if they disparage my French car.

He also drove a BX 16 valve one year, but it failed dramatically due to some overt tinkering with hydraulic accumulator additions. Search YT for Brock Citroen

One of them was back at the 12 hour a few years ago when Peugeot brought the RCZs (and won their class).

On the pre event practice day, the drivers complained that the brakes were spongy.
I understand that they prefer to drive with no brake booster for feel?
Upon inspection, there was no issue with the brake fluid or function, however the firewall was flexing where the master cylinder was mounted.
That's a lot of pedal pushing!

That's what you need to do with no booster. My 309 has a reinforced firewall around the pedal box but still flexed. I now have a booster and the brakes work!
