    Default Another Heritage Traffic Jam

We went on another traffic jam, this time 450+ cars, mainly French, but a smattering of other nations as well.
These are hugely fun events, and something we would miss if we ever return to Australia.

So who thought of using 'The Real Thing' as the backing track? Stroke of genius - ages since I've heard the full version!

Oh yes the video was pretty good too . What is the car that it's filmed from?

    Cheers

That'd be me I doubt if many French people know it.
    Filmed from a 1953 Traction Avant 11B.

Fantastic to see so many classics in one place. Is this an event in France ? And is it every year ?

Just shows how egalitarian the French are. The "Real Thing" goes well with the film>

    Thanks all.

These traffic jams are regular events - there's probly a couple a month across France, some smaller than others. We do at least one a year, The biggest are on the N7, the next one is in October, with an expected 1000 cars Embouteillage des annťes 50-60 sur la N7: Rendez-vous

Thanks for the post, its a great collection of Frenchies!

Also notable are the R16s which are, according to AF (Oz) sadly a rather rare local sight.
    Once upon a time:

    Many R4s (incl. fourgonnette), R5LS, R16TS.

GS 1015, 1220, sedans and wagons.
    CX 2200, 2400.
    ID 1966, 1969, DS21H, DSpecial, DS23 Pallas.
    C5 2002, 2004 petrol and diesel.
    D Special 1974
Xantia Activa 1998 (look out Gulargambone)
GS 5 speed sedan (what a tale)
    1986 2CV6
    CX25GTi 1985 auto
    CX2500 IE Pallas 1985 auto
    DS23EFI 1975 Pallas

    And now:

    C5 2.2 HDI 2005 wagon
    DS23 1973 Pallas
