    Icon14 A Frogger again....

15 years since I joined this Forum in 2003, 19 years on from owning my first frog (MYí99 Pug 206 XR) and 12 years since my last post on this forum, I am backÖ that is.. I did the unthinkable and bought a french car again.

Last week I took delivery of a brand new MY18 Renault Koleos Zen 2.5l p CVT. So itís no Pug 206, but itís a fantastic family car. There doesnít seem to be too much on this forum yet about í18 Koleosís but Iím sure Iíll dig deeper and more than happy to contribute any findings/quirks/etc I find with the car.

I am wondering if there are any active member here from the early naughties who still have their french cars? I remember we were a very social bunch back then. Iím friends with a bunch of you on Facebook so I still havenít completely lost touch, anyway itís good to be back on this forum and to be an AFíer again.

On that note, do we still hand out AF stickers?

    Cheers!

I’ve had my R8 since 94, and been on AF since early 2000’s at least.

You can take the man out of a French car, but you can't take the French car out of the man.
    Once upon a time:

    Many R4s (incl. fourgonnette), R5LS, R16TS.

GS 1015, 1220, sedans and wagons.
    CX 2200, 2400.
    ID 1966, 1969, DS21H, DSpecial, DS23 Pallas.
    C5 2002, 2004 petrol and diesel.
    D Special 1974
Xantia Activa 1998 (look out Gulargambone)
GS 5 speed sedan (what a tale)
    1986 2CV6
    CX25GTi 1985 auto
    CX2500 IE Pallas 1985 auto

After a few years hiatus I've been checking into AF more often recently. Still sticking with Pugs (with one Renault dalliance).

Moved from fuego (or 7) to a scenic RX4, then a megane turbo, then became instant dad to 3 girls, hence now driving a Koleos also, albeit a 2013 model 4x4 diesel.

The koleos is an Nissan Xtrail isn't it .... So I can't imagine its going to be a bad vehicle. It might even have a decent tow rating too (or do you need nissan badges to get a usable tow rating ).

It looks like you may need to put a Renault badge on your Nissan!

I still log in once in a blue moon. I should be at AFCD this weekend (I was there last year).

I prefer to look at French cars now rather than own them. My most recent drive of a French car (a rental Renault Clio on the island of La Reunion) ended in tears. They replaced it with a Fiesta for the remainder of our holiday. Although on that trip I also had regular access to a private Peugeot 206 which was an absolute joy.
    Cheers,
