    Default Froggies in stock photos

Can anyone explain why the SMH website has used a photo of a Vic registered 505 GR to illustrate an article about Green Slips

And now a 308 stalled in Canberra flood waters as the "headline" image in the ABC TV news report on the flash floods in N Canberra today - although that is obviously not a stock photo...

Here's the photo from the ABC website

On channel 9 news in Sydney, when they want a diagram of a car, such as story on traffic volumes or showing a trajectory of a vehicle in an accident, they use a white 406. They may be multiple cars in the same animation, they are all the same white 406.

I've noticed that as well. Maybe someone is a fan of the 406 or they see is it as a handy, nondescript vehicle to use in graphics.
