Default street racing in Clio. Anyone here?

    From another forum I:

"There are too many dickheads on the roads to street race.... It aint worth it, even if your skills are the best, there are too many variables... Coming through the S's near Kambala tonight I had a
[ P ] Plater, try to go up the inside of me in a Clio Sport....

The dickhead try's to keep up; with a Cino with Eibach's and GT-Gas Struts... [a Clio Sport trying to proove itself to a Cino.... You should see the humour in the fact that Clio's totally decimate GTi's] The Clio understeers, as he tries to follow me, the dickhead clips my rear bar, so its now sagging. "

If it is someone here can I get your side of the story?
Either way Clio has now become one of those hoon cars putting a bit of a mark on the rest of the froggy population. Its definately getting a name for itself. Not sure if thats good or bad...

Just leave it a year or two, natural selection will deal with the stupid/dangerous RCS drivers by then
I guess this is the problem you get when a fun car is affordable to the less experienced drivers.

BFYB winners. Just look at what happened to WRX after it won that.

Too right Tekkie. It's a trend that has been noticed and commented on a number of times.

It's getting to the point where one might reconsider a type of car purely based on the actions of people that own them.

I would not make a choice on what car I drive because of how other people drive that particular car.I see hoons in most cars Euro Jap or otherwise driving in a unsafe way, and I look back on my driving past and I may have been one of them. Its all subjective. Hopfully the idiot in the Clio dos'nt kill someone and we need to use the skill that we have in driving to avoid these situations.LuLu

Yeah i think once they start gettin sold 2nd hand cheap it'll go downhill...

Somewhat similar to the Pug205 GTI??? perhaps (not real sure if it happened with these)

I doubt it'll be as bad as WRX's etc, cause it dont make the pssst noise & it looks like a chic's car. But unfortunately Linc may be correct! If its cheap & goes well its the car to buy bro!

I doubt it'll be anyone here, from what i've experienced the AF's are a decent bunch & unlike other forum peoples.... (Opel for one!)

HAHA, i've never seen a clio sport driven hard, well other than AF cruises .

However like the 205gti it would be good to have another french car hold "cult car" status at the present time where jap imports are the shiznit of sikness foshizzle.

By having cult status all french car owners will look cooler. ...well not that sitrwon lot .

This seems like a perfect exsample of a ricer boy

these days the ricer boys who make there cars pretty but not fast (and then think they can drive them) are starting to find european cars and ruining them for the rest of us. i especially hate it when they use chicks cars!

Bizarre thread this one. It starts with a quote 'There are too many dickheads on the roads to street race.... It aint worth it, even if your skills are the best' and no-one picks up on the fact that the 'dickhead' was the one street racing! If the guy in the cuppa cino was street racing, then he was a dickhead himself.....
