    Default Smart Phone Apps

What Apps are people here using that are associated with French cars and motoring in general?

A report of are the Apps any good as far as value for money and ease of use.

A couple that I have downloaded over the past week are:

1 Here We Go which is Sat Nav App and seems to work fine and was free

2 Speedometer which as the name suggests is an speedo app which can be used in MPH & KPH, has 4 resolutions 0-30 0-60 0-120 & 0-240. It also has average speed, highest speed, trip meter and odometer.
I down loaded to check the speedo in my R12 which I still have to do. I checked it against the speedo in my Laguna and the were in 2% of each other. This app was also free

Look forward hearing about other apps that folks here have used.

I used the Here We Go app today in anger to find an address. Took me right to the door.

It also has speed alerts that go off as soon as you go over the speed limit eg 101 Kph in 100 kph zone.

    Default Speedometer App

Had the R12 out today, went for a drive on the back roads to town, on the way home I came back the highway and decided to give this Speedometer App a test run.

The Speedometer App works well updating every few seconds and my R12 speedo is not all that far out which surprised me, with both the App and my speedo reading pretty much the same.

I had the r10 dynoed a few years back on the same dyno that used to calibrate NSW Hwy patrol cars. It had a 10S speedo and 185/15 tyres on 4.5 rims and the speedo was spot on at 100km/h.

I went crazy and downloaded a few pocket dyno, lap timer apps etc when I first got my iPhone. I think I’ve used the dyno app once. I couldn’t find a road long, straight and quiet enough to get a 0-100 run in my Turbo diesel Navara! Maybe a calendar would help better.
