Default High auction price for old pug racer

I posted before about this car, in the AussieFrogs Pug forum, but now the price has gone ballistic, I think its main forum worthy.

$7.25m, presumably US$, really takes the cake.

Ah dear Mac, sadly, you shd've checked the articles before making desultory comment.

The post you point to, from yesterday (Mike's post) was to an updated version of the article I linked to on 17th October.
My link above is to a Jalopnik article with more details.
All are different / updated and bring more information to the picture.

If these were only posted for your edification, i would cease & desist.

Wot? No A/C, power windows, stability control ... not even a radio.... let alone Bluetooth.

Geez things are getting expensive ....
    Once upon a time:

    Many R4s (incl. fourgonnette), R5LS, R16TS.

GS 1015, 1220, sedans and wagons.
    CX 2200, 2400.
    ID 1966, 1969, DS21H, DSpecial, DS23 Pallas.
    C5 2002, 2004 petrol and diesel.
sold ..... D Special 1974 ... to fellow Tassie AFer.
sold ..... Xantia Activa 1998 (look out Gulargambone)
sold .....GS 5 speed sedan (what a tale)
    sold .... 1986 2CV6

    And now:

    C5 2.2 HDI 2005 wagon
    CX25GTi 1985 auto
    CX2500 IE Pallas 1985 auto
    DS23 1973 Pallas
    DS23EFI 1975 Pallas

    Au Contraire

It is fully air conditioned - ample air

The stability control is that big round wooden thing in front of the driver

And you'd probably have blue teeth ( with flies as a bonus ) if you drove it for a while in the winter

    Great value for money

    Just hope it gets used

I also note with great amusement the diagonal brace that reinforces the steering column, I would imagine Francois ( of whoever is the racer) would be doing a substantial bit of bottock clenching as well to keep his derriere firmly planted in the cockpit.

I'd rather glide around in this slightly newer Pug, with all that change in my pocket...
