Could be any number of reasons, its just another piece of glass on the car.

Its no different to the old toughened windscreens going off when struck by a stone.

I'm of the considered opinion that the sunroof "exploding" in Bond's DB5 was caused by the operation of an explosive powered ejector seat, rather than spontaniety.................

I remember on one of the 03 Weekends one of the early 203s had a sunroof "blow out" on one of the drives. They had to stop the car and put up an umbrella and when it rained.

Local Mr.Plods wife had a Velostar...recall discussing exploding roofs with him.Thought the number we discussed was 130 ish.

Now bought a Mustang-Saw ,briefly a guy say on net that he had road tested a Mustang...said would never drive again...then ooops.....article vanished ????

Did not Peugeot develop the full glass roof....wondering how they are fairing...have seen a couple of wagons advertised with crack in corner.Umbrella would not work well in that situation.
