    Default V6 Cylinder map

    A dufus question i know :-) Getting misfire detected on cylinder 5 of my 2005 3.0i V6.

    Can someone help with ID cylinder Number sequence.

    Based on threads on other forums it should be

    Firewall
    6 5 4
    3 2 1
    Radiator

    ??????????

    I assume this is a V6 laguna.

    Its the middle cylinder on the rear bank, it will be the pencil coil that is faulty and you will need to remove the inlet manifold to get access.

    Thanks Col. Its a V6 Exclusive.......and its been an exclusive pain in the butt dropping one of the rear coils.

    They are the ones that usually go, because of the heat trapped under the inlet manifold.

    A word of warning: depending on the fault code analyser you are using, sometimes the codes are in Firing order. IE, if firing order was 1-5-3-6-2-4 then the fault code Cyl 5 may refer to actual cylinder 2. Worth confirming if you haven't already.
