    Default Howdy from a newbie.

    Hi All;

Couldn't seem to find a newbie post, so apologies if it's hiding somewhere on the site.

Not sure if there are any other van owners here, but thought Id say hello anyways.

Just taken delivery of my favorite vehicle ever, a 2012 Peugeot Expert Van. 2.0L TD, very tidy and practical for my needs. Use to have a Citroen, so well aware of the little French quirks here & there, its just part of their charm!

Looking forward to connecting with other 'Expert' owners here, or indeed other incarnations of the same vehicle (Citroen Dispatch & Fiat Scudo).

    Cheers
    Nigel

    Hi Josh,

Why do I find this an odd first post from a new member

Josh, perhaps you should introduce yourself and give us a little insight into your involvement with French cars. You could also tell us a little about the link in your signature, is it your intention to become a forum sponsor?

    Cheers

    Josh, where are you Josh?

I was hoping for a little chat, surely you didn't join our forum just to welcome a new member. . .

I found this great link to improving traffic to your websites, big coincidence but there is a reply by someone using your username?

    Hey Dan,

Excellent Topic. Every newbie who is new into internet marketing should understand the importance of building a trust relationship where ever they are rather than looking for the short term benifts, since the long term benifits are simply too big to handle

PS: the link for big-boards is not working – i guess the “http” needs to be added as the anchor link since its just taking to ttp

thanks again for the nice post.
    warm regards

8 Tips To Get Traffic From Online Forums

    Let's see. . .
    1. Pick the right forum = Fail
    2. Choose your username carefully = Fail (Your username just keeps popping up all over the www)
    3. Put a link in your signature = Fail (Tends to make you suspect, especially as a 'newbie')
    4. Craft your profile carefully = Fail (A little lacking)
    5. Don’t be spammy = Fail
    6. Provide quality content = Fail (Your only post has drawn attention to you)
    7. Start new threads = Fail
    8. Post often = Fail (Where are you Josh?)

Your email address must have been hijacked. . . it shows you have 23 domain names registered, can't be right can it?

Anyway, if you're up for a chat I'll leave your username alone for 24 hours. If I don't hear from you, I'll have to conclude you are only here to feather your nest and delete, try your luck elsewhere. . .

    Cheers

Well done Chris. I am a relative newbie Frogger and had wondered how the site was all kept so tidy, civilised and trap / ad free. I realise your average French car owner is not likely to be a rat-bag in the first place but the possibility of a "Josh" trying to ambush forums and plug their own self interest is obviously more real than I expected. I am impressed that you picked up on him so fast. Thanks for your work behind the scenes.

And I don't think Chris is plagiarizing Gary Paulsen

It's all his own, original work.

Yes, that one was very entertaining and it took him quite a while to realize who he was dealing with. But he got it in the end..
