Default Diagbox/PP2000/Lexia - Warning for Windows 7/8 users

    Hi guys,

Learned a valuable lesson the other day. If you are running PP2000/Lexia/Diagbox under Windows 7 or 8, DO NOT UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10.

I didn't even think to check before I upgraded to Windows 10. Don't get me wrong, 10 is great, but the PSA software no longer works for pre-CAN bus vehicles.

I now need to find myself a dedicated Windows 7 machine to run it...

Or get a copy of VM ware workstation and run a virtualized copy of Win7 or XP. Vm ware is free for non commercial use and works a treat. I have the choice of three different oSs running as guests .

Many people have problem when upgrading from Win 7/8 to Win 10 because they elect to upgrade to Win 10/ 64 . This is a guaranteed issue if the machine was running An x32 copy of the previous Windows.

I have the upgrade icon on my screen, but have no intention of risking trashing my install of Win7 Pro /64 which has taken a long time to configure to my liking.

That is really rubbing it in that we are driving out of date cars.

At least my car doesn't throw up a blue screen when it has problems.
