    Well done Addo and Greenblood - that site is a minefield, I found the link to the 1927 Austin Seven, Canberra Aus. "barnfind" as I have the equivalent circa 1925 A7 chummy barnfind of the future stored in my backyard car port and owned by my good wife (when teachers had money to spend on such things in the hope that a husband would restore and add value!!)

    Linked the site in favourites, thanks Stephine, by the way do you have one of the Panhards relatives in similar storage, if not condition?

    I don't think she's got anything more exotic than a few Corvairs (none of them Yenkos, IIRC). Must've been telling her since about 2005 to buy a Citroën or R16 just for kicks, but her mates seem to like destroying most un-American cars...

    One of the few that were sold in the UK. There is a UK Panhard Club whose members will surely help anyone with the history of these UK versions.

    Seemingly not. The owner speaks of buying it in the south of France.

    I would be somewhat wary of him having converted it from LHD to RHD & am curious about the "4 wheel disc brakes" claim.

    The parts manual contains pages referring to RHD configurations.
    They changed to all disc brakes in 1965 as one of the first production applications, 8 years after the DS. Today, the disc braked version is more problematic than the drums. The original parts are prone to corrosion and stuck cylinders in the calipers are a hazard. They had two sets of calipers on the front discs. The calipers were not to my knowledge used on any other vehicle and so now spares are a problem. I have driven, or rather stopped on both versions. The drums seem more progressive, less powerful and certainly fade, as I found on 10kms of 10% descent in the Averyon. The discs are more powerful and less prone to fade but that is not much gain when a piston sticks. You also lose those beautifully styled external finned drums. There was no brake servo fitted.
