Default French Automotive Tour - October 2015

October 7-18 2015 I'll be running an automotive tour in France, for Australians - The French & Fantastic Automotive Tour. Highlights will include visits to the huge Citroen and Renault collections - not normally open to the public; the vast Automedon classic car show, with traders, club displays and much more; museums including the Cite de l'Automobile (Schlumpf collection), the Royal car museum in Monaco, the Henri Malartre Museum and others.
I've conducted tours in Europe since 2005 and this is a special one-off French tour. We will be driving around, staying in hand-picked, lovely hotels, going to great restaurants and seeing amazing sights on this adventure.
Another highlight is the second tour host being famous automotive author Jon Pressnell, who lives in France. A comprehensive Roadbook will be provided to participants.
The cost of this once in a lifetime experience is $7,955 per person, double or twin share. Please enquire about single supplement. The cost excludes airfares, due to people’s differing requirements. Entries close soon, so please contact me, Paul Blank on 0407 097 911 or [email protected] for full details of this exciting adventure. I'm a big French car enthusiast, motoring writer, automotive historian and want to share the joy of it all! Come and join is - entries close soon.

I joined this tour which began in Paris on 7 October and finished in Nice on 18 October. Great tour except we did not get to see the Renault historic collection which was a huge disappointment for me. However, this was more than compensated for by a day trip to Dieppe on 8 October where we met Jean-Pierre Limondin for lunch (he arrived in his beautiful A110 - the last one off the assembly line in July 1977), then it was off to the Alpine factory for a guided tour (they were assembling the Renault Clio Sports) and a look at some Alpines in an adjacent building followed by a visit to Meca Retro Sport 76 which specialises in restoring Alpines. Thanks for posting the pics Bazzamac.

I went on a similar tour in 2009, we did get to visit the Renault Histoire & Collection at Flinns. We had a comprehensive tour of the restoration workshop, but only got a limited time in the warehouse where all the cars are stored.

    Hi Col

I heard that you were on that tour from Stef Bayley. Did you have any photos from the Renault History & Collection?

I have them on a hard drive. There is also a book "Renault La collection by Antoine Pascal" which is far better pictures than what was taken by my point and shoot camera.

I can find them and email them to you if you like.

Would really appreciate that Col as we didn't get to see the collection. My email is [email protected] By the way, should get to see you next April as I have entered my A110 in Targa Tassie in the tour category. Ernst Luthi and Mark Duder will also have their A110s there racing in other classes. Can't wait to go.
