    Default Some car this Simca!

Those old enough to have seen the Simca Aronde sold in Australia in the 50's/60's may remember their sales slogan ..."Some car..this Simca!"

Well here's a "some car" that I have never seen until recently ( at the antique fleamarket .. "Puce de Vanves" in Paris).

Have not had a chance to Google it for a year etc.

But notice the roller blind for the air intake/grille to assist with warm-up?

The boat "mooring buffers" are not a new idea in Paris as I have even seen them on a mid 80's BMW 635 coupe a few years ago.
(See (my) other thread on Parking and you will realise why. )

    cheers
    Bob

Simca Cinq , French built Fiat Topolino derivative, 1936 to 1948.

That delivery van version is fantastic, thanks for the photos!

I thought it looked familiar, but I've never seen a van version of any make before.
    Cheers Renomad
