Default Why do "French" cars rust in the UK?

Thought I had better use the word "French" in the title in case I get into trouble from the Gendarmerie!

Icon6 Driving on our wintery roads...

We might need some on our roads if it gets much colder here.

Salt is used liberally everywhere in Europe where there is snow. Maybe it's french cars being allergic to english salt?

They used to but is that really true of recent cars? Modern paint and galvanising should have wiped out corrosion of bodywork before the plastic falls apart.

In Guyra we would use our sleigh or toboggan to get around because our car tyres would shatter from the cold..

I worked in Glen Innes for 2 years, just up the road from Guyra. Glen was cold but Guyra was always brass monkeys. I spent many a freezing night standing halfway up Ben Lomond hill.
