    Default France is dfferent

    Two news items last week.......
Paris proposes to limit the main thoroughfares through the town to 30kmh.
The bonus/malus scheme last year raised several hundred million euros and is becoming a Budget item. The government is imposing the malus or tax on new "polluting" vehicles and using the cash to fund a bonus to purchasers of the lower pollution vehicles. As some consumer confidence returned buyers again purchased top range vehicles like Merc and BMW and cared more about the quality of the motoring experience than the pollution. Net result, the government made a surplus!

You could buy them, dismantle them, and then ship them off to the US.
    It's been done before.

Really? I had no idea. I guess if you really wanted it....kind of like the old London Bridge sent to Arizona 'thing' back in the late 70's.

Until a chateau is in a great location and in excellent condition, in which case it will set you back millions.
