    Sadly, much of that information here is not dissipated or responded to, in a constructive way. It all becomes grist for the "French cars are unreliable" mantra.

    Thanks Gerry, that was a good read. The gripe is with the 1.6 HDI.

    I looked up the current C5 at Dossier Qualitť / Fiabilitť CitroŽn C5 II. The complaints are minor and mostly pre-2010, except for 1.6 HDI manuals, which we don't get here. In fact the reviewers like the 2.0 HDI models.
