Default How many left? A UK site

Haven't searched here to see if anyone else has posted this as yet.

Just watched an episode of Top Gear and they talked about this. Jeremy mentioned a Fuego Turbo and said the site says there are 3 left registered in the UK> Interesting stats.
About to search for an Aussie site, don't think we have one as yet.

    Cheers HKP

From memory we worked out there were 5 or 6 genuine ones in the country.
    ...or maybe that was Espaces....
I've got past the age when I can remember anything.

I have see one though, with my very own eyes at Avalon airfield many years/decades ago when I still had my wits.

Same story with CX Familiales - there are probably more in Australia now (where they were never sold) than in the UK!

That UK website is not accurate . It says there are no 504 coupes in UK but I know there are some .Maybe it only includes cars sold new in UK

I think the key to it is that it only includes cars that still have a valid registration document (in the UK the one registration number at first registration is assigned for the life of the car and a logbook known V5C is issued). If a car shedded for years or a project car allowed that document to lapse or be cancelled, the car would cease to exist as far as the DVLA in Swansea is concerned.

I can't recall if there is any correlation to cars that have a valid MOT or not (the equivalent of the various annual pink slips, RWC etc for us in its' simplest explanation).

From my limited experience with the CX last year a car must have CTP if it has an active V5C. There is computer data matching to ensure any vehicle has both documents. The frequency of cameras on the road allows for real time checks of compliance. If the vehicle has no road tax paid then you must lodge a SORN (statutory off road notice) to avoid being fined heavily. SORNs are used if you have a car off the road for major work or I think even to lay it up over the winter.

Interesting. As of last year, about 250 Peugeot 504s and 210 505s registered in UK.
