    Icon6 Number of Posts

Why is it that sometimes you can reply to a thread but your counter for the number of posts doesn't increase?
This has occurred a number of times now and I'm sure I'm not imagining it.

It does increase - but it updates the database so every place where your post count is displayed will update to the new total.

Also, if you reply to your own reply, it won't increase your post count.

Yes, I know about the replying to your own post and the updating to all occurrences, but I replied to two posts by other people this morning and I'm sure the counter didn't increase.
It's a bit hard to check, I'll have to keep tabs on the number of posts before I reply to anything.

It's done it to me again. I had 401 posts up on Friday, I've posted 3 times today (not including this post) and the post counter is now showing 402?????

My vote goes for turning the 'post count' off. Really who cares how many posts a person has made . I've said this 100times before, it's the content of the posts that matters ... NOT the quantity

Working on teh quality & not teh quantity, does that mean we'll now have to reduce your count by 100??

I stand by my abnormally low post-count-per-day.

Like the meticulous creation of a rare Faberge egg, the yellow dinosaur avatar is a guarantee to YOU, the reader, that quality is not sacrificed in the production of posts.

Remember, it's not just good, it's good enough!
