It may not be French, but it is quirky enough to be French.

    Yep.
I've got a 1/24 scale model of one, doesn't take up much room.

You would need a magnifying glass to find it at 1/24 scale.

Trying to exit the vehicle after it had wrapped itself around a power pole head-on was considered a minor problem in those days......

You would be lucky to survive a head-on collision with a pregnant bull-ant.

Are female bull ants still called bull ants or should they be cow ants ? Or if they haven't given birth before, heifer ants ?

When bitten by any of them, they are collectively referred to as f^&*ing ants!

Most people think bull ants inflict pain through their big mandibles. It's not true! They have a sting in their abdomen like wasps, which they can use repeatedly.

P.S: Have we strayed off topic enough or should I mention a war?

Only if you wish to start one.

Frankly, I can't see how it's appropriate for you admonish other members anyway. Especially since you didn't start the thread.

You could carry one in the boot (trunk for the benefit of any Americans amongst us) as a spare.

And, with all due respect, (not that you were admonishing me), neither did you!
