    1968 Citroen Dyane 6

It looks like a very nice car

I think the 6 stood for the big bore engine, the hoon-mobile 602cc air cooled twin.

I don't know much about these jiggers, but '68 seems very early for an Australian delivered Dyane. There's something about the tail lights and fuel filler that suggest a later version? Plus the window in the C pillar??

They where never delivered into Australia other than private imports. They were sold new in England, though,

Hmm, considering the C pillar window wasn't even on the French manufactured ones in 1968, more investigation is needed...

It helps to be pre-ADR where possible.

What does it really matter if certain things do not make sense. Often oddball cars like that come into the country and passed of as older cars for what ever reason. We are not talking Bugatti here!.

    I can see your POV.

What I also see, though, is not someone's "only and everyday" car on the balance of probabilities. Later chassis year ADRs make it more cumbersome to register an import, while the benefits to all are arguably minimal. If the car is difficult (costly) or impractical to register due to such rules, it's one less classic car on the roads, one less customer for a specialist, one less classic car for the restorers who keep them going.

I agree, but in this case the Dyane comes with 12 months NSW rego, so, no worries.

The biggest problem I see is it's 2cv money .... I don't know anyone that would buy a dyane over a 2cv for the same $$$. They don't have the 2cv looks or appeal

I like it that with the ever improving camera technology these days it becomes more and more evident how crap some people are at taking a simple photo for a sale ad.

To be fair, I think it's "Instagram" flavoured. Not certain, as I'm not really an Instafacetwit™ (as named by UFO) type person.
