Parramatta isn't noted for its Eastern Suburbs ambience. There's a crepes cafe in Church St, and I think the Sebel serves onion soup.

    Hi Don,

There's no French restaurant in the Parramatta area, as far as I'm aware, though there is a French cafe open during the day called La Roue Café. I haven't tried it.

There's a nice little Greek restaurant called Kouzina Greco, and classy Lebanese restaurant called El Phoenician, which are both very good.

Courtneys Brasserie is perhaps the "fine dining" place to go, but it's more modern Australian than anything European.

The atmosphere at the outdoor dining end of Church St (cnr Phillip St) is quite good on Fri/Sat night, but it's very busy.
    Regards,

    Simon
